Executive Producer of “Jane The Virgin”
Gary Pearl is an executive producer of The CW series “Jane The Virgin.” He is co-founder and co-chairman of Aquarius Television, a production and international sales and finance company specializing in television formats.
Pearl is directing his film “Michigan” in 2016 based on his original screenplay. As a producer, he has several television and film projects in development with the major studios. He is also producing and financing “JT Leroy” starring Kristen Stewart and James Franco with Justin Kelly directing.
In addition, Pearl produced the festival film “Liberty Stands Still” starring Wesley Snipes, Linda Fiorentino and Oliver Platt. He also produced “10.5,” the most watched network mini-series of the last decade along with its sequel mini-series “10.5: Apocalypse,” starring Kim Delaney, Beau Bridges, Frank Langella, Kaley Cuoco, Fred Ward and Dean Cain.
Pearl is currently producing “Flowers in the Attic” based on VC Andrews for Broadway 2018, as well as the pilot “Wanted,” with Legendary Television.
Formerly a William Morris agent, Pearl has a longstanding reputation as a talent representative who, as a post millennial producer and agent, has been involved in projects that have premiered at major film festivals including Cannes, Sundance, New York Film Festival and, AFI Festival. Many of his projects have won and been nominated for major festival awards as well as Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice Awards.
Pearl is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Economics and Psychology and often guest teaches at UCLA, USC, Columbia University and NYU.
