48 HOURS: “The Deliveryman Murders” was Saturday’s #1 primetime broadcast with viewers and delivered its largest audience since May 16, 2020, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Saturday, Feb. 21.

48 HOURS posted 3.23 million viewers and a 0.6/03 with adults 25-54. The broadcast was up +20% with adults 25-54 (from 0.5/03) and added +70,000 viewers (from 3.16 million, +2%) when compared to the previous week.

Saturday’s broadcast featured correspondent Tracy Smith and 48 HOURS’ report into the murders of Daniel Anderl, the son of prominent federal Judge Esther Salas and attorney, Mark Anderl, and of attorney Marc Angelucci. Anderl was shot in New Jersey and Angelucci was killed eight days earlier and 2,800 miles away in the mountains of San Bernardino, Calif. The two murders captured the nation’s attention because they involved the family of a federal judge and a high-profile attorney and each involved a killer impersonating a deliveryman. Smith and 48 HOURS reported on the murders through interviews with friends of Daniel Anderl and a close friend of Angelucci, investigators and more.

48 HOURS: “The Deliveryman Murders” is produced by Gail Zimmerman and Chuck Stevenson. Sara Ely Hulse, Michelle Fanucci and Jonathan Leach are the development producers. Gabriella Demirdjian is the associate producer. Marlon Disla, Marcus Balsam, Richard Barber, Michelle Harris and James Taylor are the editors. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Nancy Kramer is the executive story editor. Judy Tygard is the executive producer.
