“FACE THE NATION” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW IN TOTAL VIEWERS ON MARCH 22, ATTRACTING ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE IN 28 YEARS
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 22. FACE THE NATION scored 5.14 million viewers and attracted its best audience in 28 years (since Feb. 24, 1991). In adults 25-54, FACE THE NATION delivered 1.23 million, its best since Jan. 3, 2016.
FACE THE NATION is up +68% year-to-year in total viewers, showing the most growth among Sunday public affairs programs.
The March 22 broadcast featured FACE THE NATION moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration; Gary Cohn, former director of the National Economic Council; Richard Pollack, president and CEO of the American Hospital Association; and Frederick W. Smith, chairman and founder of FedEx, further emphasizing CBS News’ commitment to covering the coronavirus response.
