Steven Lilien began his career as a writer on the critically acclaimed police drama “Boomtown.” Later, he partnered with Bryan Wynbrandt, and together they spent three seasons as writers on the sci-fi drama “Kyle XY.” Also, they are co-executive producers on the DC Comics series “Gotham.”
After developing pilots with Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment and Stan Lee’s POW Entertainment, Lilien and Wynbrandt created their first series, “Alcatraz,” with J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot producing. Following “Alcatraz,” they went on to serve as writer/producers for several television shows, including “CSI: NY” (supervising producers) and HAWAII FIVE-0 (co-executive producers), for the Network.
Lilien grew up in Livingston, N.J. and attended Arizona State University, where he received a B.A. in journalism. Currently, he lives in Los Angeles with his wife, his two kids, and Emmett, a feisty beagle. Follow him on Twitter @StevenLilien.
