Marcos Siega is a film, television, commercial and music video director. His directorial work includes such acclaimed television series as “Dexter,” “True Blood,” “Veronica Mars,” “Tyrant” and “Blindspot.” He directed the pilot episodes (and served as executive producer/director) of “Vampire Diaries,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “The Following,” “Time After Time” and “The Passage.” Also, he served as executive producer on the series “Outlaw” and the new series “You.”
Siega produced and directed the independent film “Pretty Persuasion,” starring Evan Rachel Wood, Selma Blair, Jane Krakowski and Ron Livingston, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. The film sold to the Samuel Goldwyn Company and brought Siega to the attention of Castle Rock Entertainment and Warner Independent Pictures, where he directed the dark comedy “Chaos Theory,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Emily Mortimer.
Siega’s award-winning music videos include work with artists such as Weezer, Blink 182, the All-American Rejects, Jurassic 5, System of a Down and Papa Roach. His commercial clients, among others, include Red Stripe beer, Guinness beer, Doritos, Microsoft and Yahoo.
